Essay Contest is underway!

The Summer 2009 History Essay Challenge, led by Mr. Ron Smith, is now underway. Students in Bodwell Social Studies 11 A and 11B have written first draft essays on a variety of topics relatin to Canadian history. Below is one first-draft essay on "World Peace", written by Anitah Nderu of Longonot Township Secondary School. This essay and six others received detailed feedback from Canadian students, in preparation for the 2009 History Essay Challenge.

Bodwell Rafiki team leaves for Kenya - in less than 2 weeks

On April 15th, 2009, 10 Bodwell students (Selin, Nana, Saki, Sandra, Altug, Atena, Ria, Brian, Annie, and Matheus) and two teachers (Ms. Radakovic and Mr. Ng) will be travelling to Maai Mahiu, Kenya. They will stay for two weeks - they will collaborate with Kenyan counterparts, volunteer in the community, and build upon the existing 'Rafiki Link' connection.
